After the Lancer Day parade, students gathered in the Prairie Village shopping center for a pep rally. At the pep rally, Prairie Village Mayor Laura Wassmer appointed Student Body President Mazie Brooke the honorary mayor of “Lancer Village” for the day. Senior yell leader Brayten Bowers led the student body in cheers with the help of drum line musician junior Siddharth Choudhury. Senior football captain Eli McDonald closed the pep rally by asking everyone to show support at the game that night.

I've always hated talking in front of crowds so this was hard for me to do, but the reaction I got made speaking worth it," McDonald said.
